Energy Efficient, Weatherization Up-grades
On Feb. 13, 2009, Congress passed the American Recovery
and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The purpose of this bill is to
save us all money, promote the more efficient use of energy, keep
us warm in the winter & cool in the summer and provide
tax-breaks & incentives to do so. (To learn how to apply for the

Depending on your budget, your application and what you believe
to be most effective, combat energy, heating/cooling loss in
common areas such as around band joists, knee walls, knock outs
and in overly exposed areas like over garages and unconditioned
spaces facing West and South.
It's likely that your home
has over-looked problem
areas like this wasting
energy and allowing
heating & cooling to
escape.
Studies show that up to 93% of ceiling heat gain in summer months
occurs from radiant heat transfers from attics heated by radiant
energy from the sun. Roof shingles and decking absorb radiant heat
generated by the sun and transfer this heat into attic spaces heating
up existing insulation.
With our products and installation homeowners are eligible for a Federal Tax
Credit of 30% (raised from 10%) with a maximum of $1,500.
An even larger Federal Program (Federal Weatherization Assistance
Program) revision proposing rebates or credits up to $12,000 is also
currently under consideration for many of the same type of improvements.
